By the time you read this, thousands of Seventh-day Adventists from around the globe - both delegates and observers - would have gathered in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) for the 59th General Conference Session. The June 23-July 3 conference would be under the theme Proclaiming God’s Grace.

As a church we believe in grace.
While on earth, Jesus announced the immediate establishment of the kingdom of grace. My bulletin piece last week reminded us to declare “nothing” but this Gospel of Grace everywhere, all the time.
What does God’s grace do? In Titus 2:11-13, Paul outlined some of the traits that should be reflected in the Christian way of life. When God’s grace results in Salvation – it teaches us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions. It encourages us to say “YES” to self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age. Here at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta - Life in the “present age” (11 days) is great. Powerful sermons, inspiring music and challenging testimonies are the order of the day. Thousands of Adventists from different cultures, languages and backgrounds are here. According to Pr Jan Paulsen “there is no moment in the life of the Church which demonstrates so vividly--so tangibly--the extraordinary way God's Spirit is moving among us” then during a GC session. The celebration atmosphere and wonderful reunion of God’s people here in Atlanta is a foretaste of what it would be like when Jesus comes back to earth the second time.
God has blessed his church in many ways. I am proud to be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are not a small group of disenchanted, disappointed believers. We are a growing positive global force in over 200 countries on planet earth – Proclaiming God’s Grace to every language, tribe and people. And by God’s Grace – we will continue to do his work “while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ”. (Titus 2:13).
